Rabat

Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is built on the banks of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. It is known for its sites of interest, which illustrate both Islamic and French colonial heritage, notably the Oudayas kasbah. This royal Berber-era fort is surrounded by formal French-style gardens and overlooks the ocean. The city’s iconic Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret, dominates the remains of a mosque.
